Billy Butler had Oklahoma Joe’s for lunch today

“Be sure to eat a balanced diet, including plenty of lean proteins, fresh fruits and vegetables, and complex carbohydrates,” recommends Livestrong.com, in an article about diet recommendations for baseball players. “Recommended proteins include those lower in fat, such as chicken (roasted, grilled or broiled), turkey, fish and shellfish. Beans (kidney, garbanzo, black, pinto, etc.) are also a great source of vegetable protein, as well as being high in fiber. Just about any type of fruit or vegetable will do you good, as long as it is prepared properly, i.e., no french fries or baked potatoes loaded with sour cream and bacon.”

Or, you know, fuck all that. It’s the World Series in Kansas City. Country Breakfast is gonna do what works for him. Why mess with a good thing?

A guy named Tony Davis snapped this photo and posted it to his Twitter account this afternoon. It is unmistakably Billy Butler mowing down some ribs at the Oklahoma Joe’s location at Town Center.

“How loose are the @Royals ? @BillyButlerKC eating ribs at @OklahomaJoesKC Go #Royals! #WorldSeries,” Davis wrote.

This cements it — we could not be more jacked about tonight.
