Berbiglia’s alcohol-fueled extraganza tonight

I was in the Berbiglia’s at 1014 W. 103rd Street trying to pick up a bottle of Boulevard’s Two Jokers. They were out of it (boo), but I did see that Zon has arrived for the summer (eh). I also noticed the staff was already setting up for tonight’s “Summer Wine, Spirits and Beer Tasting Extravaganza!”

The two-hour event begins at 6 p.m. and will feature more than 75 wines, premium spirits and newly released beers. Best of all, it’s free! If you want a fuller experience, you can buy a Riedel glass for $5, more than half-off the normal price. Even if it’s not the hand-blown line of Riedel glasses it still beats sipping out of a one-ounce cup.
