Battle of the dishes: Peanut butter sandwiches

Peanut butter is to lunch what that last clean pair of underwear is to your wardrobe. You’re glad it’s there when you need it, but it leaves you wishing you’d left yourself some other option.
Recently I set out to discover if I had too harshly judged peanut butter over the past three decades. And I uncovered two sandwiches that merited further investigation. One is a simple and elegant take on the classic peanut butter and jelly. The other is the East Coast staple known as the Fluffernutter — peanut butter and Marshmallow Fluff. The battle of the peanut butter sandwiches is after the jump.
