A couple of delis are coming to Johnson County

Pickleman’s is getting ready to open.

Deli lovers are an underserved constituency in Kansas City. So to those of you crying out for sliced meats and a proper pickle, this summer might be the answer to your prayers. Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe is under construction in Overland Park. The Columbia import, which is known for soups, salads, sandwiches and pizza, is expected to open later this summer at 7224 W. 135th St. The Overland Park location will be the 11th outpost for the franchise based in Columbia, Missouri.

Over at Park Place in Leawood, Marv’s Original Delicatessen is currently hiring. The traditional Jewish deli from Steve Kerner, a partner with Ingredient (which has a restaurant across the street from his new space), will be at 11554 Ash.
