Garth Brooks returns to Kansas City with two T-Mobile shows next month
Garth Brooks’ latest tour, Blame It All on My Roots, sees the country music superstar playing multi-night stands in “a full-scale return to the venues that made Garth Brooks a legend.”
Kansas City can definitely lay claim to part of that legend, with his nine-night stand at what was then the Sprint Center setting records for the venue just a month after it opened in 2007, as well as his seven night stand in 2017.
This go-round sees Brooks playing two nights at T-Mobile Center on Friday, November 6, and Saturday November 7. While most cities have seen a third night, Brooks opted out of a Sunday show so as to not make fans choose between seeing him or watching the Chief play a home game against the Jets on November 8.
“To get to play K.C. on any day is an event, but to get to play K.C. on a Chiefs’ home game weekend makes this a PARTY!” said Brooks in a press release.
General on sale begins Friday, October 16 at 12pm and can be found here. The show will be performed in the round so as to allow as many folks as possible to see the show.
Is it weird that I see the whole “announce a show a month out, play a bunch of random places” like a Phoebe Bridgers thing that only a star of Brooks’ stature can do or am I overthinking this?
