The Oddities & Curiosities Expo, which embraces the strange and unusual, is coming to Kansas City from Nov. 15-16, giving the city a taste of the exquisitely eerie.

This internationally touring event brings together hundreds of artists and small businesses specializing in unusual creations such as taxidermy, preserved specimens, horror-inspired artwork, skulls, bones, funeral collectibles, and handcrafted curiosities. Guests can explore tarot readings, sideshow performances, photo opportunities, and other interactive experiences that celebrate the offbeat spirit of the show.

Founded in Oklahoma by Michelle and Tony Cozzaglio, the expo has grown into a North American phenomenon with stops across the United States and Canada. “We created this expo to give odd, small businesses and artists a space where they can thrive,” Michelle says. “Our goal is to build a community where people feel safe to be themselves, surrounded by like-minded folks who appreciate the weird and wonderful.”

Oddities & Curiosities ExpoKansas City attendees will also be able to participate in hands-on workshops, including a jackalope taxidermy class and entomology sessions led by The Sleeping Sirens. All specimens used are ethically sourced and sustainably obtained.

The expo will be open at Bartle Hall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door, with children 12 and under allowed to attend for free.

Whether you are a collector, a curious onlooker, or a fan of the extraordinary, the Oddities & Curiosities Expo welcomes all who revel in the eccentric and the macabre to a world unlike any other.
