Starbucks has opened at Ranchmart in Overland Park

Starbucks lovers got an early Valentine’s Day gift this year. The Starbucks at Ranchmart South (3807 W. 95th St.) opened the day before the holiday. In addition to the standard roasts out of Seattle, it’s got a patio and a dedicated drive-through. For gardeners, Starbucks will also give you free coffee grounds if you ask and if they’re available.

It’s a stretch of Overland Park that was without a dedicated coffee shop. Foo’s Fabulous Frozen Custard (across the street) serves Roasterie coffee, but the closest beaneries are two other Starbucks locations (at Ward Parkway and at 88th and Metcalf) and Hattie’s Fine Coffee (4195 Somerset Drive) in Prairie Village. The Starbucks at Ranchmart is open from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
