Photos: Kansas Citians let their joy glow at this years’ KC PrideFest
Members of the community took over the streets of Kansas City this last weekend, as the KC PrideFest kicked off on June 7, and ending on June 9. Throughout the three days, Kansas Citians let their pride show as they trotted around town, waving flags of inclusion and celebrating another year of LGBTQ+ equality and inclusivity. On June 8, the parade began at the intersection of Westport Rd. and Broadway Blvd., ending down Emmanuel Cleaver II Blvd. at Theis Park. Put on by the Kansas City Pride Community Alliance, the event marks another year of successfully showing up and showing out in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
