Milbourn’s Food & Drink Company in the Northland closes

• It took less than six months for Milbourn’s Food & Drink Company to vanish.

Three months after restaurateur Rick Milbourn – his family owns the popular home-style restaurant called Milbourn’s Family Restaurant in Faucett, Missouri – opened a full-service, comfort-food dining spot called Milbourn’s Food & Drink Company, at 6409 N. Cosby in the Northland’s Picture Hills Shopping Center, the venue has closed.

Milbourne announced the closing last month on the restaurant’s Facebook page stating: “It is with a heavy heart that we must inform our customers and friends that we must close our business. We did not have the amount of business that we had hoped for or needed to continue to operate.”

The Picture Hills location, formerly the site of Mary Ann’s Trattoria, was slated to be leased by the Silvio family for a Mexican restaurant in 2012, but that project never got off the ground.
