Restaurant Week has begun: 132 restaurants, nine more days

It’s a big deal – and a good deal – when some of Kansas City’s priciest restaurants (the Capital Grille, 801 Chophouse, Rosso, Bluestem) offer $15 lunches and $33 dinners. It not only gives diners a chance to experience a wide range of dining rooms in the metro – from Affare to Zocalo Mexican Cuisine & Tequileria – but also raises funds for three local charities: Harvesters – the Community Food Network, the Kansas City Regional Destination Development Foundation and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

This is the fifth year for Kansas City Restaurant Week – it runs from today through January 26 – featuring 132 restaurants throughout the metro.  All of the participating restaurants will offer special, multicourse menus for either lunch or dinner – or both. Reservations are strongly suggested. The Pitch is a Silver Spoon Sponsor of the event.
