Plane sandwiches and the connection of food to our memories

We’ve got boat drinks for when we retire and Chinese food for when our wife is out of town. So, let’s make it official and have plane sandwiches be the official food of travel.

Sean Christensen made a short video about the sandwich his sister made to sustain him on the transatlantic flight between Phoenix and London. I won’t ruin the ending, but there’s a reason the memory of this simple deli meat sandwich has lingered well past middle school. And the endearing video made me think about the simple connection between food and our memories.
