Which KC restaurant shouldn’t be an institution?

Some restaurants age gracefully; others simply sit rooted in a location — intractable dining rooms with ancient servers. While I don’t agree with EricWilley’s tweet (above) — I’m a sucker for classic steakhouses — I do think he raises an interesting point about older restaurants that fail to live up to their reputations.
Age is not a guarantee of a great meal. Which Kansas City institution makes you scratch your head and wonder how it’s still chugging along after all these years?
