King Cake and four other reasons to leave the house this weekend

Lord of Misrule, a Mardi Gras masquerade ball to benefit the KC Fringe

Festival, is this Saturday from 7 to 11:30 p.m. at Fringe

Central (1730 Broadway). In true Fringe fashion, this Mardi Gras-themed

party will have jugglers, belly dancers and body painters. Snack on

jambalaya and king cake before scoring a drink at the cash bar. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
