The R Bar hires a new bartender…and finds a new use for salami

Yesterday, when we wrote about Sean Moriarty, former R Bar bartender, finding a new job at the Majestic Restaurant, R Bar owner Joy Jacobs wasn’t around to comment. This morning, she called Fat City.

“Sean is a great guy and a great bartender, but we get really busy here on weekends and I don’t think he liked the chaotic pace of those weekend nights,” Jacobs told me today. “Sean prefers smaller, more low-key venues where he can talk to the customers.”

“If that’s what she says,” Moriarty says, laughing, “let’s stick with that.”
