Sake tasting at the Japan Festival and three versions of Oktoberfest this weekend

A ticket to Japan will run you a cool $1,200 right now. But tickets to the 2010 Greater Kansas City Japan Festival?

Those are just $10 for adults and $5 for students and children.

The

festival is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at

Johnson County Community College’s Carlsen Center (12345 College Boulevard, Overland Park). See the fashion show

while munching on Japanese snacks and sipping sake. The sake and beer tastings are from 4 to 7 p.m. One-Bite Japanese Grill, Siki Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar, Nara and Kaiyo will all be at the festival serving Japanese dishes between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
