Shark attack on Linwood Boulevard! (Update)

Hummus out, spicy chicken wings in

(Update) Yes, the Gyro House on Linwood Boulevard — effectively became the new King Shark today (the old King Shark location on Bannister Road is definitely closed) but continues to serves gyro sandwiches, hummus and a some Middle Eastern fare in addition to fried catfish, catfish nuggets, chicken wings and such…

Hey, don’t blame Fat City for this bit of breaking news: Gyro House in midtown is getting a complete concept change. (The owners remain the same.)

Gyro House, you may recall, is the little Middle Eastern food shack at 240 East Linwood Boulevard that only received second-place honors a month ago when we conducted a “Battle of the Dishes” between its signature dish and those served at rival Papu’s Cafe in Waldo.

Now the venue will serve soul food.
