Smallcakes set to go national

Get ready for Smallcakes, America. The Kansas City Business Journal reports that Smallcakes has signed a franchise deal with Beautiful Brands International. The cupcakery is the 14th restaurant concept in a portfolio of BBI franchises around the world.

Jeff and Brandy Martin, the founders of Smallcakes, will continue to operate the stores in the Kansas City area and will have an ownership stake in each of the new franchises.
