How far can nostalgia take a restaurant?

I have a special place in my heart for Winstead’s. It’s where I shared a wedding day hamburger with a bunch of Rodeo Clowns from the American Royal.

So I have a blind spot when it comes to the iconic burger chain. But in talking with a good friend, I learned that not everyone feels the same way about Winstead’s and it made me start to wonder just how much the food actually mattered.
