Farmer’s markets continue indoors

It’s easy to forget to eat your vegetables when the weather gets cold, but plenty of seasonal produce is still being sold at indoors farmer’s markets across the metro. Most of the markets have hours on the weekends and will be selling meat, cheese and root vegetables — the kinds that are perfect for roasting and making soups.

The Winter Farmer’s Market of Grand Court (501 W. 107th Street) kicks off with open houses on November 7 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Here, you can get dairy products (cheese, kefir), nuts, local mushrooms, farm fresh eggs, honey and locally baked desserts.

The City Market has begun

its winter market with baked goods and produce vendors selling

on Saturdays (6 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and Sundays (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
