The dine-and-dash problem is making an expensive comeback

In a case of theatrics and real life combining in very bad behavior, Latvian actor and film director Janis Nords won’t be eating nearly as well in prison as he was before he was arrested in London last Tuesday on a charge of dashing out of nine expensive English restaurants without paying the bill.
An unemployed film student, Nords, 28, says he had a good excuse for skipping out on his restaurant tabs: He wanted to impress “a high-maintenance blonde.”
The blonde in question wasn’t charged, but she did join Nords for a cigarette outside the victimized restaurants before he dashed off without paying a bill.
