Yogurt cups: the new six-pack plastic rings?

That’s the question Serious Eats food-blogger Adam Kuban asked after the video below, of a poor squirrel trying to get his head out of what appears to be a Yoplait container, appeared on CNN this weekend. It’s rather heartbreaking to watch.

Fortunately, the only harm this squirrel suffered was to its pride, because the photographer rescued it. But since this video first made news, several other videos have surfaced on YouTube showing the same thing. Further research shows skunks have had similar problems. Clearly yogurt cups are a menace to small, inquisitive animals.
