Where to find ‘weird’ chef favorites in Kansas City
Yesterday, eater.com posted a story titled, “Ten strange chefs favorites that are now mainstream hits,” which listed some vintage menu favorites — oysters Rockefeller, beef tongue, pretzels, Waldorf salad — that are having a revival in New York restaurants. I’m not sure that any of the selections really qualify as weird, but some of them are rarely seen on modern menus.
But I think I’ve found a number of places in the Kansas City metro where you can taste almost all of the featured dishes.
