It’s time we claimed some food world records, Kansas City

We can eat with the best of them. Now, we just need to prove it.

Butchers in Penne, Italy, recently rolled out (literally) the world’s largest sausage. The Metro reports that the sausage was over 1,300 pounds and 597.8 meters (about 1,961 feet) long. The Guinness Book of World Records certified the sausage, which bested the previous record holder from Romania, which came in at 392 meters. Putting aside Penne’s feelings of inadequacy, let’s look at some records that Kansas City might be able to claim for its own.
