Great American Barbecue Festival and other weekend possibilities
Great barbecue comes with great responsibility — the responsibility to
not take ribs off another man’s grill.
The seventh annual Great American
Barbecue Festival, on Friday and Saturday at the
Overland Park International Trade Center (6800 W. 115th St.), will test
the limits of your powers. More than 180 competition barbecue teams are
expected to bring their best to the fundraiser for the 25-to-1 Fund (a
nonprofit affiliated with the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation).
Admission is $10 at the gate, and an all-weekend pass is available for
