Does KCI have the worst airport food in the country?

Airport food is typically considered good only when compared with airplane food. If it is compared with the world outside the automatic doors, the ranking of a yogurt parfait drops precipitously. While I appreciate the convenience of traveling in and out of Kansas City International Airport, I’m starting to think we may be saddled with the worst airport food in the country.

On recent trips through Boston and Milwaukee, I had clam chowder from Legal Seafood and a smoked Polish from Usinger’s Deli. My hunger was satisfied, but perhaps more importantly, I also enjoyed what I was eating. Sadly, I can’t say the same for our local counterpart. There’s a paucity of options that aren’t fast food, and the cloying smell of Cinnabon is impossible to escape. Does KCI have the worst airport food or do you have another airport in mind?
