New Dunkin’ Donuts opens in Lawrence

Up until two years ago, fans of Dunkin’ Donuts in Kansas City had to drive to Lawrence to get their fix. It was a long ride down K-10 to get a box of doughnuts when the shop at 521 W. 23rd St. opened at 5 a.m.

Today, the drive is a bit shorter, with two locations in Overland Park (7446 Metcalf and 7722 W. 151st St.). But Lawrence residents now have options as to whether they want to go to the old Dunkin’ Donuts or the new one at 1400 W. Sixth St., which opened last Friday.
