Is there a food scent that you’d want to wear as a perfume?

  • Why can’t you just find a good woman who smells like a Reuben?

The woman who smells like roast beef might just be the most desired lady in a nation of eaters. Or not. NPR has the story of Brooklyn-based I Hate Perfume, a micro-olfactory laboratory that is producing scents from roast beef to old musty books (named In the Library). The former has apparently racked up three sales, while the latter is the most popular scent in the shop.

Roast beef may not be popular, but that hasn’t stopped meat-based scents from coming to the market. Fat City wrote about Que, an “Eau de Barbecue” that was released this summer by Pork Barrel Barbecue. Outside of citrus, is there a food scent that you’d willingly wear?
