What’s been your biggest Thanksgiving disaster or triumph?
Thanksgiving is a holiday of extremes — one gorges oneself shortly after proclaiming that this is the year you won’t overeat. As a result, the actual meal comes with high stakes. I’m slated to bring a 20-pound turkey for the family meal this Thanksgiving, a bird of ridiculous size that I will have the meat sweats worrying about how it turns out.
The holiday dinner also sometimes asks the most of those who are the least capable (consider this funny spot involving a turkey fryer and William Shatner). What’s been your greatest Thanksgiving triumph or failure?
