Val-O-Ween and other weekend possibilities
Ready to stop taking Valentine’s Day so seriously? Then Val-O-Ween 2012 is the place for you. This year’s event is at the Beaumont Club (4050 Pennsylvania) beginning at 8 p.m. tonight. The theme is Scary Carrie Prom, so you can arrive dressed either in scary or in 1970s-prom-themed attire. The annual benefit hosted by the Millennial League raises funds for AIDS service organizations. Tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 at the door. VIP admission is $75 and includes a private reception from 7 to 8 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres from chef Charles d’Ablaing and an open bar.
