Yeah, that is a 28-foot-long fake potato rolling through Kansas City

You’re not baked. You really did just see a massive fake potato rolling by on the highway. The Great Big Idaho Potato Truck — an oversized rendering of an Idaho spud on a flatbed truck — has been in Kansas City for the past 24 hours. Fat City regrets that we haven’t alerted you to its presence earlier, but Pitch writer Ben Palosaari is now on the tater beat, and this post is our hope that you don’t entirely miss what can only be described as spectubular.

The potato truck will be in the Hen House parking lot at 6900 West 135th Street in Overland Park, alongside Bluestem chefs Megan and Colby Garrelts, from 9 to 11 a.m. today.
