La Parrilla is now open in Olathe
A staple of Massachusetts Street in Lawrence has come southeast to Olathe. The second La Parrilla – a Latin American restaurant known for rice bowls and empanadas – opened at 1197 S. Strang Line Rd. (119th & Strang Line) earlier this month.
Co-owner Subarna Bhattachan opened the first La Parrilla with Alejandro Lule in 1999, since introducing Zen Zero (economical Southeast Asian fusion) and Genovese (North Italian cuisine and wood-fired pizzas) to the restaurant scene in Lawrence.
