Kansas City police officers talk about Joplin relief effort (video)

We’ve had a lot of bad news this week. This isn’t one of them. In the video above (originally posted on Kansas City Police Chief Jim Corwin’s blog), KC police officers, who were deployed to Joplin after the May 22 EF5 twister, talk about their experiences during the rescue and relief effort. It’s a pretty cool video, shot Cops style….

Kelvin Suter accused of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl; authorities asking potential victims to come forward

Just a reminder: Catholic priests aren’t the only ones accused of sexually abusing children. Earlier this week, a Platte County judge bound over 47-year-old Kelvin Suter for trial on accusations that he sexually abused an 8-year-old girl. Is Ned Yost smarter than a fifth-grader?

Being a baseball fan is complicated by the fact that the industry puts not very smart people in positions of authority. And we forgot about beef. Do you…

I personally think Cyndi Lauper was full of shit when she proclaimed that girls just want to have fun. But I do agree that Mondays are sometimes manic. So, I guess I must say I’m somewhat excited to tell you that Lauper is coming to the Midland on October 31. That’s Halloween, guys, and the Halloween She Bop (that’s the…
