The week we talked about Sarah Palin’s tits

%{}% Heidi Montag has appeared on the reality show The Hills and performed some dance music. She is best known, though, for her various plastic surgeries, including spectacular breast implants, which she has craftily used to retain media attention. Montag’s lifts and load-ins have been covered in national magazines and on TV. Last month she discussed the topic on the…

50 Cent at the Midland

Last night’s 50 Cent concert at the Midland was like good sex: intimate, sweaty, aggressive, and in its final moments, wet. Joined by fellow G-Unit members Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, 50 Cent proved that even after his recent turn as an actor in the upcoming film Things Fall Apart, New York’s bad guy still knows how to turn a…

Why hand washing just may not matter any more

Are smart phones eliminating the safety net provided by “employees must wash hands” signs in bathrooms? That’s the scary suggestion from the Barf Blog, which notes that all too many people continue to text or respond to e-mail while technically indisposed. The issue with “dirty thumbers” is that even if they wash their hands, the potential for bacterial transfer is…

Meet your West 18th Street Fashion Show designers: Nataliya Meyer

Of all the West 18th Street Fashion Show designers I’ve met thus far, Nataliya Meyer has come the farthest — literally. Meyer is 27, and she moved here from her native Ukraine seven years ago. Meyer is a fun conversationalist, not only because of her accent but because her thoughts spill out in such an unselfconscious manner. “I love history,…

Tech N9ne’s “O.G” Video

“Hi, may I help you?” We let you know a while back that Tech N9ne was writing an ode to Ollie Gates with Tech N9ne Callabos: Ollie Gates’ Mixed Plate. (It isn’t the first time Tech N9ne has shown some love for Gates Bar-B-Q, but it’s definitely his most obvious tribute.) Well, here’s the video. It premiered on mtvU today….

Top worst Westboro Baptist Church music videos

You already know that Fred Phelps and his tribe of rabid evangelicals in the Westboro Baptist Church are parodying pop songs. (Hey, we even got linked on Gawker and HuffPo for our post about Megan Phelps-Roper’s embarrassingly awful “Poker Face” parody in January.) But the Phelps crew doesn’t only do embarrassing karaoke for most of their radio hits. They do videos, too…
