Yard House set to open in Power & Light District in late April
The Power & Light District is getting another beer bar. We’ve known for some time that Yard House would be joining the Flying Saucer in the Power & Light District, but today we finally have an opening date: Saturday, April 25.
This is the second Yard House in the area (the first is in the Legends in KCK).
Yard House keeps about 130 beers on tap and promises to feature 32 taps dedicated to Missouri and Kansas breweries. (Boulevard, Cinder Block and KC Bier Co. are listed among the options.) And you can order all of those beers in “half-yard, traditional pint, shorty or six-pack sampler.”
The press release boasts that the draught beers are “each delivered fresh and perfectly chilled by miles of overhead steel and nylon beer lines to the center island bar. The glass-enclosed keg room, which is kept at a constant 34-36 degrees, can house as much as 4,000 gallons of beer at one time.”
Yard House will be open for lunch, dinner and late night in the party district. The menu is traditional American fare and what you’d expect (burgers, ribs, steaks). The space is 12,500 square feet and can seat more than 318 people.
The press release says the bar and restaurant will add 200 new jobs (think bartenders, servers, hosts, etc.) to the area. If you’re looking, you can apply here.
Here’s a look at the tap list.
