Would You Take $2?

This isn’t really yard-sale season. And City Center Square (1100 Main) isn’t blessed with the kind of green patch usually associated with such events. Nevertheless, a room inside the downtown commerce and office building is the site of the Yard Sale Exhibition, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. You can probably guess by the word exhibition that this isn’t the kind of rummage sale that offers awesome deals on baby toys and Grandma’s chipped knickknacks. Rather, organizers have deemed this an “artist-grade yard sale,” which means you’re haggling over pieces of original art. And don’t be afraid to bargain just because these are precious, one-of-a-kind creations. The whole sale is also performance art, so the bartering is part of the show. The hustle goes down inside the Office gallery space, also the site of open studios this evening. For more information, search Yard Sale Exhibition on Facebook.
