Woodley chokes out Bears in Friday night fight

In a bloody night of testosterone and fighting that brought The Hills‘ Spencer Pratt into KCK as a spectator, it didn’t really work out for mixed martial artist and Independence man Rudy Bears, who tapped out 2:53 into the first round of his fight with up-and-comer Tyron Woodley. Tough break.
By executing something called an arm triangle, Woodley, a two-time All American wrestler for the University of Missouri, extended his record to 5-0. Bears’ official record is now 13-6, with at least four losses coming from submissions.
Before the fight, Bears told The Pitch he had been training counter-wrestling to defend against Woodley’s strengths. Bears, who is trained in jujitsu, is more comfortable standing and striking.
He definitely doesn’t look comfortable in that photo on the right.
