Women’s Wardrobe Recycling — With Booze

What better way to ring in the impending new year than with a new wardrobe? Join like-minded ladies at Swap Til You Drop at the Loft (1331 Union). The clothes aren’t exactly new — just new to you. From 3 to 5 p.m., swappers bring a bag (or two, or five or 20) of women’s clothing or shoes, then redeem those items for an equal number of tickets (five skirts = five tickets, for example). Between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m., these are then traded for someone else’s gently used castoffs. Any leftover wearables are donated to a local women’s organization. Any type of clothing is welcome, though winter items are encouraged. A number of vintage and handmade items are in the swap pot, and food and drinks are provided while you browse.
