With Expectations for 2014 High, How Much Will it Cost for Royals Tickets?

The Kansas City Royals appear ready to compete for the American League Central crown. They are an up and coming team and after giving their fans a taste of important September baseball, expectations are much higher entering 2014. If James Shields can continue to pitch as he did last season, and young bats Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas can continue to improve, Kansas City will have a very strong chance of making the playoffs this season and for many more to come.

So how much will it cost to grab tickets for a Royals game this year? On Opening Day, the Royals face their division rivals the Chicago White Sox. The average ticket price for this game is $169 while the get in price is only $63. As for the most expensive ticket price, it will cost you $775. The New York Yankees come into town on June 6th. You can bet that Kauffman Stadium will be rocking during that series. The average ticket price for this game is $120 while the get in price for this game is $33, $30 cheaper than Opening Day. It is also fireworks night, so a good opportunity to get some late night entertainment after the ballgame.

Some other intriguing matchups include a visit from the World Series champs, the Boston Red Sox, on September 11th through the 14th. Royals vs. Red Sox tickets are available for less than $30 for the Thursday, Friday, and Sunday games (and it’s only $32 for the Saturday game.) And their final home series will come against division rivals Detroit. Right now, you can get-in the door for just $11 for the final home game of the season. And if the Royals can improve upon last season, that could be quite the important game. So if you’re looking to speculate, grab tickets now!
