With another Super Bowl victory comes another KC victory parade. Here’s what to know ahead of Wednesday:

Chiefs Super Bowl Parade 4560

Chiefs Super Bowl Parade 2022

The Chiefs are bringing home yet another Super Bowl trophy for Kansas City this year, leaving only one way to conclude the 2023-24 NFL season: a big ‘ole bad-ass parade.

In celebration of their victory, The City of Kansas City, Kansas City Sports Commission, and the Kansas City Chiefs invite all fans out for a parade and rally in downtown KCMO on Feb. 14.

A few new things to note:

This year the parade will kick off at 11 a.m., an hour earlier than last year, allowing businesses to still open later in the evening for their peak Valentine’s Day hours.

The Streetcar will be in partial operation for the festivities. It will run before the parade begins, with hopes of reopening in the evening as the event dies down. Carpooling and public transportation is greatly encouraged.

The parade will not go through city market, but will rather run down Grand Boulevard from 6th St. to Union Station.

With forecasts predicting a high of 60 degrees and sunny, larger crowds are expected to top last year’s turnout of an estimated half a million. Colder weather in the low 30s is expected in the early morning.

“LET’S HAVE A PARADE WEDNESDAY!!!”

The parade route will start at 6th and Grand, and will run straight south up to Pershing Road. From there, the parade will veer west and make its way towards Union Station for the rally.

Falling suit with previous years, the rally stage will be in front of Union Station and is set to start at about 12:45 p.m., shortly after the parade finishes.

As in previous years, fans can watch the rally from the National World War 1 Museum lawn and memorial. The Museum is offering special discounted admission and parking on the day of the parade. Parking passes for the Museum and Memorial’s Southeast Lawn can be purchased online for $50. Discounted admission tickets can be purchased for $10, allowing guests access to restrooms, the Museum Store, and Memorial exhibitions.

The parade and rally will be aired live on KSHB-41 and online for those who cannot attend.

Public Transportation Information:

This year the Streetcar will run in a limited capacity, with service beginning at 6 a.m. on parade day. With boarding at Union Station closed for the event, passengers can instead enter and exit the Streetcar at the Crossroads stops on 19th St. and Main. The Streetcar will run at 10-12 minute intervals until 10:30 a.m. when they will temporarily pause service until the completion of the parade and rally.

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority will provide free bus shuttle service at several locations throughout the metro area. The shuttles will run from 7:00-10:30 a.m. and again from 12:00-4:00 p.m. A wait of about 45 minutes should be expected and planned for.

Pickup / Drop-off locations include:
2835 NE Vivion Road (Former K-Mart)
1800 Genessee Street (HyVee Arena / Westbottoms)
6800 Zoo Drive (Swope Park / Kansas City Zoo)
11149 W 95th Street (Oak Park Mall)
