Winston Hughes, Killa City homicide 8: Fatally shot at 54th and Bellefontaine

 Winston Hughes was identified Tuesday by Kansas City police as the man shot to death near 54th and Bellefontaine Sunday evening.

Kansas City, Missouri’s homicide total now stands at five for 2010.

Officers found 18-year-old Hughes and a woman (who police described as African American and in her twenties) in a car on the curb of the intersection. Both had life-threatening injuries.

The woman is said to be in “stable condition.”
