Win tickets to see the Robert Johnson tribute at the Uptown with Big Head Todd and the Monsters and more

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 100 years since blues master Robert Johnson was born, but there it is: Johnson’s birthday is May 8, 1911. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and was ranked fifth in Rolling Stone‘s top 100 guitar players of all time. (Not bad for someone who died in 1938.)
James Cotton, Hubert Sumlin, Cedric Burnside and Lightnin’ Malcolm and, oddly, Big Head Todd and the Monsters will all pay tribute to the legend on February 12 at the Uptown. It’s called “Blues at the Crossroads: The Robert Johnson Centennial Concerts.” And we’re giving away tickets.
