Where to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Kansas City this weekend
St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year. Unfortunately, not all employers will allow their workers to slip out of work at 11 a.m. to attend a parade and sample Irish whiskeys all day. It’s bad for productivity on March 18 when you go to bed like:
We’ll have a post early next week about where to celebrate on March 17, but for today, here are some ideas for St. Patrick’s Day festivities happening over the weekend.
Brookside St. Patrick’s Day Parade: 63rd Street and Brookside Blvd., 2-4 p.m. Saturday. More info here.
Snake Saturday Parade and Festival: 14th Street and Swift in downtown North Kansas City, carnival at 10 a.m. and parade at 11 a.m. Saturday. More here.
The Elders Annual Hoolie at the Uptown Theater (3700 Broadway): with special guests the O’Riada-Manning Academy of Irish Dance, 7 p.m. Saturday.
Eddie Delahunt’s St. Pat’s Party at Knuckleheads Saloon (2715 Rochester): $12, 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
