Where all these videos comin’ from? Tech N9ne’s “Red Nose”

Our friend Plastic Sax directed us to this new video from Tech N9ne. He also praises the quality of it and Mac’s latest one, which TKC hated the guts of.

Says the wise P. Sax, “These are independent, locally-based and self-financed artists. The creation of such essential promotional tools requires imagination, motivation and (perhaps most importantly) art-school friends with video equipment. Are any Kansas City jazz musicians prepared to meet the challenge?”

I extend that challenge to all you rockers, folkies, country-honks, electro-tweakers, blueswailers and anyone else playing gigs and dropping CDs out there. It don’t gotta be super-profesh to make for fun viewing — just look at Ron Ron. Online video killed the TV-video star. Get on them virals!

As for this video, it’s a little too Rapper Interrupted for me: the inner conflict, the downtrodden feelings … woe is Tech! No, it’s not his best, but it’s definitely well shot and edited, and his fans will surely get all over it. The song is from the next Tech N9ne Collabos release Sickology 101, out April 28 on Strange Music.
