What’s the Army doing to prevent suicide? Here’s a clip

In January, when the Army reported a record number of soldier suicides in 2008, it assured the public it would make prevention its top priority in 2009. During the recent six-month “stand down” members of every rank watched new training materials, like “Shoulder to Shoulder.” In the 12-minute video, top Army brass, like General George Casey, Secretary of the Army, pledge “no soldier is alone” and families describe the loss of their loved ones.
