What’s Poppin’ Off: Apocalypse Meow 3, Deadman Flats, Russian Circles and more

It’s that time of year again when local musicians get the warm fuzzies and help out their own.

For the third year, Abigail Henderson and the folks at the Midwest Music Foundation are organizing Apocalypse Meow, to help raise funds for the Apocalypse Meow Musicians Health Care Fund.

This year’s event begins with a First Friday show on November 5 at the Midwestern Music Company (1830 Locust, 816-931-6962) with Henderson’s band, Atlantic Fadeout. John Velghe and his Prodigal Sons will open. This will be a free, all-ages show. Donations are welcome, as are the purchases of rock posters and other music-related artwork.
