What to do this week

Here’s some cool stuff to do for the next four days.

Tonight: Late Kansas City musician and owner of the record label Invisible Generation Ian Thomas is remembered during an event at the Terrace on Grand. A $12 ticket purchased at the door will help raise money for the Kansas City Hospice House and Palliative Care and get do-gooding attendees access to food and musical entertainment.

Tuesday: The group Kansas Citizens for Science is holding a Science Cafe at Coach’s Bar and Grill at 14893 Metcalf. Starting at 7 p.m., Dr. Bob Powell will talk about threats to amphibians and reptiles.

Wednesday:Trivia Night at Westport Flea Market begins at 8 p.m. Play for just $5, which leaves more than enough cash for a burger and a brewsky.

Thursday: From 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Union Station, see what architects and designers created out of canned goods during the preview party for CANstruction, an annual art/benefit project for Harvesters.
