What to do this week
Today
Think about something serious. At 4 p.m. inside Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, author Hillary Potter will talk about domestic abuse among African Americans, using the Chris Brown/Rihanna controversy as a jumping off point.
Tuesday
Take in a modern classic. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
screens for free at 6 p.m. at the Main Branch of the KCK Public Library.
Wednesday
Root for talent and laugh at wannabes. Wild Bill’s Legendary Steakhouse and Saloon hosts American Country Showcase — American Idol for the twangy set — on Wednesday nights.
Thursday
Take the afternoon off. Artists Amy Myers and Todd Cero-Atl will talk about their theories and creative styles from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Nerman Museum for Contemporary Art. Stroll through the beautiful museum after the lecture. Admission is free.
