What to do this week

1. Catch a fly ball. The Royals take on Seattle Mariners at Kauffman Stadium tonight at 7:10. The three-game series continues through Wednesday.

2. Get a pseudo-education in Bronte. On Tuesday, author Juliet Gael visits the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City, Missouri, Public Library for a 6:30 p.m. discussion about her book Romancing Miss Bronte, a fictionalized tale about Victorian writers Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte.

3. Board a metaphorical train to the near future. The curtain rises on UMKC’s new play Train to 2010 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

4. Try a new watering hole. Betcha haven’t tried the Crosstown at the new BRGR Kitchen + Bar in Prairie Village yet.
