West Edge demolition expected to be done this month

Kansas City will have a little less Safdie at the end of this month. Fox 4 reports that the demolition of the West Edge project, Moshe Safdie’s design for the Bernstein-Rein ad agency, is expected to be completed by the end of March.
It’s the final chapter for a project that began in 2005, only a year before the ground was broken on Safdie’s other renowned design in town: the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. While one stands watch over downtown, the other has stood as a sign of failed development for the past three years.
