Weekend Distractions

1. Celebrate KISSmas. Tribute band KISS Alive plays a benefit for Harvesters tonight at Crosstown Station.

2. Revel in a little bloodsport. Memorial Hall hosts a Titan Fighting Championship tonight.

3. Catch a perfect wave — or at least admire the efforts of Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. Point Break is the “midnight movie” (it actually starts at 11:30 p.m.) playing tonight at Liberty Hall in Lawrence.

4. Donate a book to a needy child. The Barnes and Noble at Country Club Plaza is collecting children’s books for the Kansas City organization Cornerstones of Care.

5. Be entertained — by Cedric the Entertainer, who’s performing at the Midland on Saturday night.

6. Catch the last Chiefs‘ home game of the year on Sunday. The Chiefs play the Cleveland Browns — and going to Arrowhead might be the only way to see the game.
